It could use the boost in player base by releasing both the PS4 and the PS5. Not to mention, it's a multiplayer title. It doesn't appear to be a graphically-intensive game. Ultimately, a PS4 version of Arcadegeddon isn't a bad idea. Speaking of PS5 exclusives getting backported to the PS4, hawkeyed fans spotted the PS4 version Demon's Souls inside the PlayStation database back in June. Arcadegeddon is scheduled to release sometime in 2022. Gran Turismo 7 and God of War: Ragnarok are now both slated to release in 2022. Unfortunately, for one reason or another, Sony decided otherwise. In the lead-up to the PS5's launch, Sony was clearly marketing both titles as PS5 exclusives. The most prominent examples of these are Gran Turismo 7 and God of War: Ragnarok. Several other titles believed to be exclusive to the PS5 are also getting a PS4 release as well. Coincidentally, the official announcement came several months after a ratings board leaked the Godfall PS4 version. Earlier this year, Sony confirmed that it was going to backport Godfall to the PS4. Of course, this isn't the first time that a PS5 exclusive game is getting a PS4 version. Arcadegeddon joins a growing list of PS5 exclusives that are also getting a PS4 release. However, according to the Taiwan Ratings Board, this is far from the case. With that said, Illfonic is promoting Arcadegeddon as a PS5 exclusive title. The game is described as an "ever-evolving cooperative multiplayer shooter" that has players exploring "multiple biomes, mini games, find hidden chests, and defeat numerous enemies and bosses." Instead of using established IPs, Arcadegeddon is an all-original cartoony shooter that looks a lot like Fortnite but with the mechanics of Borderlands. Illfonic's first solo-published title is a far cry from its previous games. Each leader has a unique style and set of challenges to complete to unlock unique gang cosmetics and Power Tokens that can be spent on new Surge Abilities and Plugins.Is the Arcadegeddon PS4 version official?
